![]() ![]() You have it in aftereffects, but basically you can place a spline as a child of the extrude object and boom. Um, basically what gener generator objects do is allows you to create geometry based on splines.ĮJ Hassenfratz (03:05): So I have like an extrude here. Actually it's pretty, uh, intuitive, but, uh, so once you create splines, uh, outside of, you know, great, uh, creating these basic 3d shapes using splines in what's called generator objects, and light has a small selection of some of the generator objects that studio has. Actually, I like the pen tools in cinema four D a little bit better than I like in after effects. Just kind of draw a little blobby here in Walla. And basically spines are the cinema 4d equivalent of like aftereffects path. We have the pen tool where you can actually draw spline shapes, and we have all these different spline shape objects here as well. So we have most of the menus that we have in studio.ĮJ Hassenfratz (02:11): We have our primitives menu where you can create basic 3d shapes. ![]() So in this regard, light is really great for getting used to how cinema 4d works in where everything is as well as just kind of navigating around in 3d space. So the first thing you're going to notice is we have the full blown cinema 4d interface, and mostly this is the same as what you would see in cinema 4d studio version. So let's go ahead and begin by talking about what is included in the light version of cinema 4d. Why would I need to shell out my cold hard cash for the full studio version when I have cinema 4d already? So that's what we're going to be talking about in this video and talking about the differences between light and studio. And that's what we're going to be covering in this video today.ĮJ Hassenfratz (01:23): So you might be thinking, all right, I'm all set here. There's lot of confusion out there as to what version does, what, what version you need. Lite versions will be sticking with their CPU's for rendering out scenes.ĮJ Hassenfratz (00:00): Hey, I'm EJ Hassenfratz for school of motion in today's video, I'm going to be covering the main differences between the light and studio versions of cinema 4d. In fact, ProRender is natively available in the studio version, but not in the lite version. One example is that the ability to use Physical Render Engine (PBR) is not available with Cinema 4D Lite, which is very important if you're looking to use GPU rendering. There are some significant limitations when it comes to rendering in the lite version. They(maxon) say it caused by ProMotion, but i turn it to 60Hz, crash after crash, bug report after bug report. M1 Max with 64GB memory in Macbookpro 2021 16'. It goes from interface problems with not recognizing inputs over massive memory overflow to recurring freezes of cinema using the redshift RenderView with bigger scenes. I use a maxed out Apple Mac Studio with an M1 Ultra for some time now and I notice more and more problems with Cinema 4D and specially with Redshift. Maxon CINEMA 4D Studio R21 With Crack Mac OS As an added bonus, doing it this way now allows me to fire up C4D Lite without having to run AE in the background, which is great. ![]() Sounds like it's an issue with both Windows and Mac. Assuming you received C4D Lite with AE, the solution is to download the offline installer from the Maxon site (the regular site, not my.) and just install the newest version on top of the version Adobe installed, then I was able to activate the Lite license. It is a bug with the version that Adobe has continued to ship out with After Effects. Worked with computers since more than 20 years got hooked on computer graphics back on the AMIGA started programming at the age of 13 relesed some successful plugins for cinema 4d started working for maxon computer gmbh in 2009 now contributing to cinema 4d as a senior developermaking electronic music since 1993 playing the electric guitar since 1995 age of 14 first live gigs in 1997 playing the bass guitar 2005 playing keyboards and synths since 2012experimenting with photography since 2003įor Mark or anyone else who comes along, I got Maxon on the phone (my support ticket with them was going nowhere fast) and they are aware. ![]()
